From his early success as a founding member of the hit rock band Night Ranger (MCA Records), Guitarist/Songwriter/Producer/Engineer Jeff Watson has established himself as one of the world’s most revolutionary and technically gifted musicians. Following his success with Night Ranger, selling over 16 million records, Jeff released his first solo album, cleverly titled “Lone Ranger.” Overwhelming critical acclaim resulted in the subsequent release of his second record, titled “Around the Sun.” His next venture was to collaborate with rock legends Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow), Bob Daisley (Ozzy Osbourne), Carmine Appice (Rod Stewart, Jeff Beck, Ozzy Ozbourne), and Aynsley Dunbar (Whitesnake, Journey, Starship) to form the supergroup Mothers Army (Universal Records). The originator of the “8 Finger Technique” guitar fret board tapping style, Jeff’s musical talent has also made him a highly sought after session player, contributing to records by a number of hit artists. A talented film composer, Jeff scored the full length motion picture Vertical Frontier narrated by Tom Brokaw and provided music cues for the hit CBS Don Johnson TV series “Nash Bridges,” a show in which he also appeared. Jeff’s recent accomplishments include guitar work and a feature appearance in the Oscar and Grammy nominated Disney film “Enchanted,” starring Patrick Dempsey, Susan Sarandon, and Amy Adams. He is now touring with Dennis DeYoung (STYX) and currently putting the finishing touches on his upcoming solo album, “Squirrels & Kerosene.” A respected member of the professional music community, Jeff is a Governor with the Grammy’s National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences San Francisco chapter, and recently presented at the TEC Awards alongside greats such as Robert Plant and Phil Ramone.
